Lasting success only comes through cross-functional alignment and adoption of a data driven mentality. I believe sound business decisions require good intuition and good data so I prefer to start with analytics, making sure data is properly captured and universally accessible. Time and time again I’ve made this a priority, designing and building analytics ecosystems from the ground up so the organization can reap the benefits. Data brings a solid understanding of your customers and their behaviors when interacting with your brand or product. Without it, it’s difficult to develop effective strategy.
Higher level strategy is just the tip of the iceberg, but that strategy remains hollow unless distilled into specific and effective tactics. The direct connection from strategy to execution ensures alignment that resonates throughout an organization. Once you have alignment, the primary objective becomes efficiency. In evaluating these day-to-day processes I’m looking at all phases of the customer journey. I’m Identifying and clearing bottlenecks, finding opportunities to remove unnecessary steps, leveraging different software or technology for cost effective improvements, automating unnecessarily manual processes. If there’s an opportunity to increase efficiency and maximize resources, I’ll find it.
The final value I incorporate into all aspects of my approach is continuous improvement. Evolve or die. Much of this mentality comes from my years of experience in growth marketing. Over and over again I see the benefits of taking a scientific approach in all of these functions.
